Celebrate languages and cultures!

The European Day of Languages takes place annually on 26 September. It aims to celebrate the many languages spoken around the world by showing people across Europe how important languages are, and how enjoyable learning languages can be. There are many ideas for events and activities on the ECML website www.edl.ecml.at downloadable ECML resources for language learning can be used all the year round!

The United Nations assign other days to celebrate languages such as:
