We believe that languages matter, shaping the people we are and the people we will become.
We believe that Global Britain needs more and better language skills to build its future.
By 2025, we envision an equitable society that values all our languages and cultures; where speaking more than one language is normal; where everyone across the lifespan has equal access to learn the languages needed to live, study and work in the UK and across the world; where government, business, education and civil society can rely on strong language skills in the workforce; and where languages and cultures enrich the lives of all our citizens.
Speak to the future, the campaign for languages, promotes the importance of languages, language learning and professional language activities across the UK. Targeting the public, government and policymakers and the media, the campaign aims to raise the status of languages and to bring about a step-change in public attitudes and policy.
